After the death of her husband and while raising her children she worked many years for Food Suppliers in Harahan, LA until her retirement.
Lucille was an optimistic, faith-filled woman who gave of herself selflessly to all her family and friends. Her beautiful blue eyes and infectious smile would light up a room. Her tremendous love for God was obvious to all who encountered her, and her strong faith carried her through life. She was a model of living one’s life to the fullest. Her strength and her deep faith were great examples to those who met her.
She enjoyed gardening, reading, and traveling, especially with her friends, “The Golden Girls.” Her greatest joy was getting together with family and friends.
The family would like to give special thanks for the loving care given by nurses and nursing aides at Forest Manor Nursing Home Covington, LA and St. Tammany Parish Hospice.
