On Tuesday, February 21, 2023, LA entered eternal life surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife, Gayle LeBlanc Grossimon of 60 years and his three sons, Louis II (Maryanne), Michael, and Paul (Alison). He dearly loved his six grandchildren, Joseph, Laura, Emily Ann, Caroline, Eve, and Levi. He was predeceased by his parents, Peter L. Grossimon and Rita Hoerner Grossimon along with his brother, Herbert P. Grossimon, and Herbert’s first wife, Marie B. Grossimon. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Nancy Grossimon. He was a devout Catholic and was a strong advocate for Pro-Life. He attended Manresa retreats for over twenty years. He served as the past president of St. Angela Merici’s parish council and served as a Eucharistic minister. He was the recipient of the St. Louis Medaille Award. He loved the Knights of Columbus and served as a PGK of Marquette Council. He served as a PFN for Bienville Assembly and was an administrative assistant for six Masters of the Assemblies. He was a Knight Commander with the star of the EOHS of Jerusalem. He was a proud Blue Jay graduate, Class of ‘56, and played in the Blue Jay Band. He graduated from Tulane University with a Master's Degree in Education and played in the Tulane Band. He played in Pat Barberot’s Orchestra for over forty years. He was a retired educator, assistant principal, and consultant for JPSB. He taught at his alma mater, Jesuit High School, for ten years. He was an Army Veteran. Services will be held Saturday, March 4 at St. Angela Merici Church at 835 Melody Drive. Visitation will occur from 10-12. Mass at noon. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery at 5190 Canal Blvd. Flowers will be accepted at St. Angela Merici Church on the morning of the service. The family prefers masses or donations to Jesuit High School 4133 Banks St. N.O., LA 70119 in LA Grossimon’s name.
