Lisa DuBos DeVille

Lisa DuBos DeVille, a retired health care professional known for her outsized love of life and her devotion to her three sons, left many saddened family members and friends when she died recently of a sudden illness. She was 63.

A native of New Orleans who raised her sons in Mandeville, La., Lisa laughed often, loved without limitations and lived life on her own terms. “Never met a stranger” is an expression that could have been coined in her honor. A loving mother who fiercely protected and defended her children, Lisa was blessed to have been loved and cared for by her devoted husband, Francis DeVille.

Lisa was educated in Catholic elementary and high schools in New Orleans and attended both LSU and LSU Nursing School. She was predeceased by her father, Clarence J. DuBos Jr. and her stepson Taylor DeVille of Opelousas, La. She is survived by her mother, Dorothy Nunez DuBos; husband Francis DeVille; sons Austin, Taylor and Dylan Heck; stepson Drew DeVille; sisters Cindy D. Rogers (Raymond), Susan D. Danner (Alvin), Laurie A. DuBos, Michele F. DuBos, Renee D. Conley (Mark), and Carol Wroten; brothers Clancy DuBos (Margo), Roy DuBos and David DuBos; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 3pm on Sunday, Feb. 13 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, with visitation from 1-3pm. Interment will be private. City of New Orleans Covid guidelines require masks indoors and proof of vaccination or negative antigen or PCR COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours before entry (as shown on an official report).
