Lisa Forshag Comarda, loving wife and mother, passed on to everlasting life on November 23, 2016. Lisa, daughter of Muriel and Theodore Dale Forshag, was born April 13, 1956, in New Orleans. A lifelong resident of the greater New Orleans area, she graduated from Mount Carmel Academy before attending the University of New Orleans and William Carey College, graduating with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing. She worked in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit of Baptist Hospital where she served as Unit Director. She met her husband, Dr. Neal Comarda, while in high school and married on June 20, 1980. Lisa retired from nursing and made it her life’s work to be a loving wife and caring mother to their two children, Jerad and Kristen, as well as a devoted caregiver to her parents. Outside of her family life, she pursued her interest in interior design, establishing her own business, LFC Designs. Recently, she shared her creative talents doing work for the Archdiocese of New Orleans in the updating of the St. Louis Cathedral and priory. Lisa is preceded in death by her father, Theodore Dale Forshag. She is survived by her husband Neal, son Jerad (Lauren), daughter Kristen (Joshua Bonfiglio), mother Muriel Theard Forshag, and brothers, Craig, Kurt (Lisa), Mark (Ann), and Brett (Mary). She will be greatly missed by her in-laws Mark, Cary (Barbara), Chris, and Carole (John). Lisa was tirelessly devoted to her children and husband, but was also a constant, caring presence in the lives of her entire extended family and friends. She relished the opportunity to host her loved ones for holidays and celebrations. Lisa’s care, concern, love, and service to her family, friends and everyone she met will remain a lasting inspiration to all who knew her. Family and friends are invited to the Funeral Mass at 1:30pm at St. Catherine of Siena Church on Wednesday, November 30, 2016. Visitation will begin at 10:30am. Interment will be at All Saints Mausoleum in Metairie Cemetery for family members. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Mt.
