Linda M Miller Vangilder

A native of New Orleans and graduate of John McDonogh High School, she lived in Metairie for the last 40 years and retired from Chase Bank after also working at Texaco and Fitzgerald Advertising. She excelled at bowling, enjoyed baking, loved animals and watching her favorite sports teams.

Survived by her loving husband of nearly 50 years, J.L., son Lenny, daughter-in-law Kristi and grandson Jacob. Preceded in death by her parents, Leah M. and Joseph L. Miller.

A funeral service will be celebrated in the chapel of Schoen Funeral Home, 3827 Canal St., on Tuesday, Feb. 18 at 11:30 a.m. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until service time. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Louisiana SPCA. Arrangements under the direction of Schoen Funeral Home, New Orleans, LA.
