Linda Tripp Hocke

Linda Tripp Hocke passed away peacefully on Friday, September 15, 2023 at the age of 76. She was a native of New Orleans and resident of Metairie for over 50 years. Linda was a past employee of Weiner Enterprises and Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home. Her love for Mardi Gras led her to become a Queen and Officer of the Krewe of Diana.

Beloved wife of the late Clifford John Hocke for 27 years. Daughter of the late Morris Neil Tripp and Christel Reinhardt Schindler Tripp. Granddaughter of Fred Tripp, Sr. and Marie Alida Wilken Tripp, Fred H. Schindler and Florence B. Schindler, and Martha H. Reinhardt. Loving sister of Carolyn T. Hayes, Barbara T. Aloise (Patrick), and Christel D. Tripp (Keith Juneau).

Her nieces and nephews were her pride and joy, Paige Hayes Holliday (Matthew), Jennifer A. Aloise, Keith G. Hayes (Christy), Rebecca Aloise Tuthill (Neil), and Andrew M. Pitari, who was more of a grandson to her. When Andrew was young, he adopted the nickname, “YeYe,” for Linda and ever since then, she was always known as “YeYe” to Andrew. Also survived by grandnieces and nephews, Michael Aloise, Matthew Spivey, Nicholas Aloise, David Brantley Mock, Jr, Sydney Hayes, Harrison Hayes, and Peyton Hayes.

The family would like to extended a heartfelt thank you to Serenity Hospice Services and her private caregivers for their wonderful loving care of Linda throughout her illness. Linda loved all of you as if you were family.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass, which will be held on Friday, September 22, 2023 at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, LA. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be private.
