Lillian Bourgeois Riley went to meet her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on January 24, 2021 at the age of 90 surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by a son, Michael C. Riley, her parents, Marie and Whitney Bourgeois and her sister, Myrtle B. Eiermann. She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Charles (Charlie) J. Riley, Jr.; daughters, Mary Beth Wilcox (Tommy) and Shannon R. Barr (Ray); and sons, Daniel J. Riley (Jackie), Christopher J. Riley and Timothy P. Riley (Ann). She is also survived by her grandchildren Steven D. Riley, Matthew J. Riley, Chad A. Webre (Emily), Kristi Wilcox Arth (Bill), Kacie Wilcox Duncan (Hunter), Brianna N. Riley, Bridgette Barr Cupstid (Rusty), Sean Riley and Evan Riley. Survivors also include five great-grandsons, two great-granddaughters, as well as her brother, Gerald P. Bourgeois (Vena).
Lillian was an avid bridge player and enjoyed playing poker and going to the casinos. She loved music and dancing. Her greatest loves were her family and hosting large family dinners. She was a long-time member of St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church where she served as sacristan for several years. She was a member of the Holy Name Society, St. Therese Circle 65 and Joy Senior Club.
Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. The funeral service will be held on Monday, February 1, 2021 at St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church in River Ridge, LA. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to Noon with funeral mass immediately following visitation.
