Lawrence F. Stecca, Jr., passed away peacefully with his sister at his side on Sunday, December 6, 2015. He was born on December 13, 1930 to his late parents Lawrence F. Stecca, Sr. and Malvern Planchard Stecca. He is survived by his sister Malvern Stecca Phillippi, four nieces and nephews, Kathrine, Stephen, Jr., Nicole and Michael as well as nine great-nieces and nephews. Lawrence was a resident of New Orleans and a parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi until retiring to Mandeville in 1996 and was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Lake. He retired from a career in sales, first with American Oil Co. and then with the Times Picayune. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the Chapel of LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Metairie Cemetery.
