Hi my name is Gail McDaniel LUBAS,  I dated Kirk off an on for many years   Actually Kirk was my first love n we would always find our way back to each other. I live in Shreveport n married now but several yrs ago we touched base with each other through Facebook. We just enjoyed catching up with each other. He told me about his health problems.  Than life happened time passed. But Kirk has been in my mind lately n just wanted to contact him to visit see how he was doing. I found this n I am so sad for your loss. Kirk was an awesome sweet guy n I know it’s been a while but I know u still miss him.  I wish I had not waited so long to keep in touch.  It’s hard to believe someone who loved life as much as him that he is gone.  I know u know what a great guy Kirk was but wanted u to know what Kirk meant to me.  He was such a good friend n so sad I won’t be able to visit with him even though time has passed. Every time we would get back in touch it was like no time had passed. That is when u know u r truly friends.  Once again so sorry to hear about Kirk

I just found out today that you went to be with The Lord. I was extremely Sad and Shocked when I heard. After we talked back in August I was hoping we could Always stay friends and put the past behind us. You did just exactly that and told me that we could see each other someday for ole times. I came to NO today and misplaced your phone number and asked your nephew if he would ask you to call me and he told me that you passed.
We had so many laughs and good times and
I will NEVER forget the stories you told your Dad about us when we were dating, I still laugh to this day! You are loved by many and will be Missed with that Awesome personality you had. RIP and let Perpetual Light Shine Upon You Forever & Ever.

Kirk was in my life these past 40 years.  He gave me many fond memories of his love and caring for Charmaine and Phil, David and Philip, and every member of his family.  I will always remember the warm embrace he gave me at every family event.  He always lent a helping hand to everyone and his smile could light up your day!  Rest with Jesus, dear Kirk.  You and all your loved ones are in my daily prayers

I lost one of my dearest and oldest friends this week. Kirk was a wonderful man, a great father, son, brother, uncle, Grandpa and soul. He was always there. Always. 

I will miss our conversations, my precious friend. I will miss your staunch encouragement in everything I did and the pride you conveyed in me. You always reminded me what I was worth and how much I mattered. 

My heart is overwhelmed at the closeness you developed with your Lord and Savior over the past five years. I will miss our prayers together. 

Even though I hated smoking, I will miss the sound of the lighter hitting the table after you lit up and you taking a long drag of the cigarette before you gave your advice. I will always miss your back porch and the silence. We were buddies, you and I. I thank you for sharing your life with me, your joys and your pain. I got you, Kirk. As the priest said, Until we meet again. Until then, I will miss you terribly. 

I know there is no smoking in heaven, so I don't know what you and Mary Ann will be up to. She loved you so much. Chaz sends his love. My precious friend, you are at peace. I love you.

To My Dearest Brother In Law Kirk aka Kirkie Lou,

You will always be in my heart, thoughts and prayers.  Just like your Sister Charmaine I will miss you dearly. There will not be a day that I don't think of you or remember all the fun times we had together. You were always the life of the party.  The room lit up when you entered. All our Sons and their families loved you so much.  They will miss you like us as no family function will ever be the same without you.  I will miss all our competitions even thought they had tapered off as we got older and slower. However it was great to reminisce about old times. You could make me laugh till I was crying.  Today I am crying for a different reason that is missing you.  I promise that we will always look out for Stephen and his family as we love him dearly.  I know you are in a better place  with Birdie and Curtis.  So I will keep saying my prayers for you that you may have eternal peace and happiness as you enter into the arms of Jesus and the full grace of heaven.  That Perpetual Light may shine upon you forever.

I want you to know that I have always loved you with all my heart !  We shared many special memories together through out my life and I treasure the bond we created when I was a little girl.  You were a man with a huge heart, infectious personality, generous spirit, and a bright smile!
