Dr. Kevin Alan Moran, aged 53, died suddenly at his home while recovering from surgery on Thursday, December 26, 2013. Kevin worked with Provance Chiropractic Sports Family and Rehabilitation Clinic in Metairie for 24 years and has been a truly important part of the clinic. He was dearly loved by his patients, fellow doctors and staff. He graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa in 1982. Kevin received his undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University and retained a love for all things LSU-related throughout his lifetime. He had an outgoing and radiant personality. He was known as a kind, caring and giving man. He dedicated himself to service to others and was a life-long and beloved member of the Dawn Buster’s Kiwanis Club of Metairie. Always active in their service events, he was often the first to volunteer for their fund- and awareness-raising functions. For his dedication to the Club, he was honored with many service awards over the years. Also, Kevin was a member of the New Orleans Executive Achievers Association. Kevin is survived by his brother, Charles Malcolmb Moran. He is also survived by his wife, Shawntelle Dillon, his daughter, Duann Dennise Daniel, his grandchildren, Sarah Danielle Palmieri and Emily Olivia Daniel, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins from the Windham-Fourroux, LeBlanc, Regan and Moran families. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bobbie Fay Nell Windham Moran and Charles Malcolmb Moran, Sr. There will be a visitation at the Jacob Schoen and Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal Street, from 10:00AM-12:00PM on Saturday, January 11, 2014, followed by a funeral service. He will be interred at St. Patrick’s Cemetery #3 at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dawn Buster’s Kiwanis Club.
