Kenny is survived by his children, Kenneth Joseph Brooks Jr (Stephanie) and his mother, Sandra Labourdette Brooks, Adam Joubert Brooks (Mandy), Kathryn Jane Brooks and their mother, Debra Joubert Brooks; brother, Thomas Henry Brooks Sr (Mary); his grandchildren, Allison Elizabeth Brooks and Matthew Joseph Brooks; and his nephew and Godchild, Thomas Henry Brooks III (Charlene and daughter Sophie).
Kenny proudly served his country in the Army National Guard, reaching the rank of Lieutenant. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree, established his career as a CPA and ultimately achieved partner at the firm of Duplantier, Hrapmann, Hogan, and Maher, LLP. He loved taking road trips, biking, dancing, boating and fishing. Everyone looked forward to his great crawfish boils and 12 egg mac-n-cheese. Kenny was an avid Saints and LSU football fan who above all, cherished time spent with his family.
The family would like to give special thanks to all those who loved Kenny, especially his lifelong friends who lived by the motto “Tis not to win or lose but how you hang out”.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, LA on Friday, June 17, 2022 from 9:30am until 12pm. A graveside service will follow in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
