Joseph Sutton, age 92, passed away at his New Orleans residence on Sunday, October 24, 2021 He was the husband of the late Temple Fleming, whom he married in 1959. Brother of Ronald and Richard (Dickie) Sutton and the late Cynthia and Meyer Sutton. He was the son of the late Jack and Celia Sutton. Mr. Sutton was a native of Brooklyn, NY, raised in New Orleans and received a Bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University. He was a retired retailer, owned numerous stores in the area and loved playing tennis and golf. He is survived by three children, Cindy Zekaria (Stephen), Stacy D’ Angelo and Kendra Hodapp (Heath). Mr. Sutton was the proud grandfather of eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at 2:30 PM at the Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home Chapel, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans with Rabbi Mendel Ceitlin officiating. Interment will follow in Metairie Cemetery. Kindly omit flowers.
