Joseph Claude (J.C.) Fuselier, a real estate broker and investor who developed residential property in New Orleans and surrounding areas, was a U.S. Marine who served in Korea, and was a star athlete at both ends of his life, in school and as a Senior Olympian, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 14,2023 at the age of 93. Born on February 14, 1930 in St. Martinville, La. to Madeline and Ernest Fuselier, J.C. was the seventh in a family of 10 children. Leaving Cajun country in 1944, J.C. attended Jesuit High School in New Orleans where he was a member of the school's 1946 State Champion team, graduating from Jesuit in 1948 and from Loyola University in 1952 with a degree in Business Administration. J.C. is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Brenda Baehr Fuselier, his children Gregory Fuselier, Jeanne F Williams, Lisa Fuselier and Suzanne F. Forbes, and his stepchildren Desiree Petitbon, John B Petitbon and Marianne P. Isaacson, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A Memorial mass was held at the Basilica of St. Stephens.
