Joseph Anthony Demma

Joseph Anthony Demma, 85, entered Heaven’s gates on May 21, 2103 surrounded by his family. Son of the late Joseph K. Demma and Annie Verret Demma. Loving husband of 60 years to Maria Duca Demma. Father of Barbara Thibodeaux (Carroll) and Alan Demma (Cathy). Grandfather to Tracy Barreca Alexander (Cade), Gina Barreca Walker (Ryan), Ryan Demma (Erika), Paul Demma and Angela Melle (Jeff). Great grandfather to Nathan Walker. Preceded in death by brothers Alvin and Albert Demma and a sister, Penny Donavan. Retired from the New Orleans Sewerage and Water Board and a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II and the Korean War. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and “adopted” grandchildren. He loved everyone and was loved by many.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church (Divine Mercy) 4119 St. Elizabeth Dr. Kenner La.; on Friday, May 24, 2013 at 12:00 pm.
