Joseph Charles Campisi passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at the age of 88. He was born in New Orleans to the late Joseph A. and Hazel Dolin Campisi. He is also preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Jeanne Pelet Campisi and a sister, Rita Delaney. Survivors include a daughter, Beverly Kastler (Everett); grandchildren, Laura Kastler Perere (Brad) and Julie Kastler French (Rich); great grandchildren, Thomas, Henry and Charles Perere; and a sister, Geraldine Heier. He’s also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Joseph was a Foreman for The Murphy Oil Refinery for 32 years. He enjoyed his New Orleans cooking and was amazing at it. He loved working in his creole tomato garden and spending time with his family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 12pm. Public visitation is from 10am until service time followed by interment at All Saints Mausoleum in Metairie Cemetery.
