Joseph Anthony

Joseph “Diamond Joe” Gerard Anthony passed away on April 20, 2021 at the age of 60. He was born on May 29, 1960 in New Orleans. He was a real character to be around, and his passing leaves a gaping hole in this world. We will love and miss you, Jo-Jo, brother, and Uncle Joe.

He is precede in death by his parents, Vera Marie Baham and Thomas Anthony. He is survived by his sister, Denise Marie Anthony; his two brothers, Thomas Gordon and Robert Louis Anthony; and his nephew, Christopher Aaron Anthony.

The family would like to give special thanks to Volunteers of America and especially to the staff and residents of Iberville. They gave “Jo-Jo” many years of patient and loving care.

A Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at 3:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home at 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70124. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, we do kindly ask that all guest in attendance wear a face mask.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Volunteers of America in Joe’s honor.
