John M Wischler

John M. Wischler, 52, of New Orleans, Passed away Monday, January 13, 2014, after a long hard-fought battle with cancer.

John was born February 21, 1961, in Chicago, IL to William and Janet Wischler. At age 11 John moved to New Orleans with his family and attended Our Lady of the Rosary grade school and Redemptorist High School.

John is preceded in death by his parents William and Janet Wischler. He is survived by his wife Crystal and daughter Christine both of New Orleans, step-son Brandon of Key West, FL; sisters Bonnie (Jim) Nelson of Denton TX and Diana Cygan(Gary Harper) of Lisle, IL; brother Robert (June) Wischler of New Orleans. Nieces Jill Nelson of Chicago, IL and Cheyenne Wright of Key West, FL. Nephews, Jimmy (Kay) Nelson of Denton TX, Zachary Wischler of New Orleans and Dennis Wright of Key West, and several great nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Friday January 17, 2014 at Schoen Funeral Home, 3827 Canal Street, New Orleans. Visitation will be 10am with Funeral Mass to follow in the chapel at 11am. Inurnment will be in St. Louis #3 Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed online at www.schoencanalstreet.com.
