John W. Parra, Jr. passed away on March 10, 2024 at the age of 75. He was born in New Orleans, LA on April 10, 1948 to the late John W. Parra, Sr. and the late Yvonne D. Parra.
He was a graduate of LSU Law School and earned his B.S. and M.S. from University of New Orleans. He worked as a tax attorney since 1971. John was also a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus and former Supreme Advocate of the Order of Alhambra.
John is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sharon Parra; sons, John W. Parra, III (Eileen), Kelly Marc Parra (Marie), and Michael James Parra (Amie), and grandchildren Ian Parra, Marigny Parra, Anthony Parra, and Declan Parra.
Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation and funeral mass on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, LA 70124. The visitation begins at 9:00 a.m. until the mass at 11:00 a.m. The interment will follow at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
