He was the owner of TAC Amusement Company, a business started by his father in 1932, which at one time was the largest coin operated amusement company in the State. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Krewe of Hermes.
He loved family trips especially to the Grand Hotel in Pt Clear, Alabama, hunting, fishing, and watching football games. He had a passion for cooking and long Sunday dinners with family. He adored his wife and was a devoted father and grandfather. Affectionately known as “Big John” by all who knew him, his personality was larger than life. He will be dearly missed.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the Ochsner ICU doctors and nurses for their care and compassion.
A private graveside service will take place at the family tomb in Metairie Cemetery.
