Joan is survived by her beloved husband of 42 years, Barry Martin; her daughter, Melissa Mullen; her grandson, Brady Mullen; her three siblings, Mary Lou Kronlage (Michael), Glynn Bonnet, and Dennis Bonnet (Kathy); her sister-in-law, Sherri Knoepfler; and her brother-in-law, Keith Martin (Donna). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Hilda Bonnet; her brothers, Ronnie Bonnet and John Bonnet; her son-in-law, Darren Mullen; and her brother-in-law, Gary Knoepfler.
Joan was born in New Orleans on November 30, 1953 and graduated from Riverdale High School in 1972. She worked inside sales at Wesco for over 30 years until her retirement. Joan loved sports, especially volleyball and baseball, and also enjoyed going to the beach.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at 11:00AM. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 9:00AM. The interment will follow the Mass at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
