She was born in New Orleans to Alois and Irma Brandin. After attending Newcomb College, she focused on raising her children. She was a member of First English Lutheran Church, Lake Vista Garden Club and Women’s Club. She further served her Lake Vista community by acting as commissioner in charge of elections. She was often seen walking the neighborhood with friends in the mornings. She loved to cook for her family. She was fond of a well-made martini and a Turner classic movie. Jean was a life-long painter and lover of art.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Alton S. Hall; and parents, Alois and Irma Brandin.
Jean is survived by son, William B. Hall; daughter, Karen Weckworth; and grandson, Brandin DuBos.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd in New Orleans, on Friday, August 12, 2022 at 11 AM. Visitation will begin at 10 AM. A graveside service will follow the chapel service in All Saints Mausoleum.
