Inez "Tiny" LaHoste

Inez was born on September 8, 1935 to Phillip and Mathile Gauthier in the small town of Cottonport, Louisiana.

Nez was the life of the party, always laughing cutting up and dancing. Speaking of dancing, she absolutely loved to show off her dance moves at the Mardi Gras parades and any family get togethers.

She made sure that if you crossed paths with her, you felt every ounce of love she had to give. She loved hugs. If ever you received a “Nez Hug” it came complimentary with her signature bright pink lip print smack dab on your cheek! She radiated joy and lit up every room she was in, especially when you could hear her big, bold laugh.

On the weekends, she could be found either playing cards with the ladies or hitting up the slot machines at Hollywood Casino in Bay St. Louis with her husband.

She married the absolute love of her life (and the best looking man, just ask him), Joseph LaHoste in 1954. They were blessed with two children, two grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Nez was a wonderful mother and the best grandmother anyone could ever ask for. To know her was to love her and she always reminded her babies “I say a rosary every day for you, babe.”

Our hearts are shattered at the loss of our very own queen, but it's not goodbye, it's see ya later, babe!

She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Luther (Danny); two granddaughters, Jennifer Sylvia (Michael) and Lindsey Powers (Shaine); four great-grandchildren, Cierra, Michael Jr, Miabella, Kasidy and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

As she walked into heaven, she was reunited with her bae of 70 years, Joseph LaHoste; her son, Joey LaHoste; her parents, Philip and Mathile Gauthier; and her siblings, Rita Diaville, Murphy Gauthier, Dean Gauthier, Anthony Gauthier, and J.B. Gauthier.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Monday, June 17, 2024 beginning at 10:00am followed by a funeral service at 1:00pm. Interment to follow in St. Louis No 3.
