Howard J. Brown, Jr. passed away peacefully at home on Monday, August 5, 2024 at the age of 65 surrounded by family following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in New Orleans on October 12, 1958. He graduated from De La Salle High School, class of 1976. After earning his Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from the University of New Orleans, he began his career in wholesale wines eventually becoming the Director of Sales for Wines Unlimited. He served as President of New Orleans Wine and Food Experience in 1999 and 2008 and sat on their board of directors for many years. In his free time, he enjoyed travel, cooking, and sunsets.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard J. Brown, Sr. and Marguerite St. Pierre Brown.
Howard is survived by his wife of 39 years, Lori Landry Brown; daughters, Charlotte Lucito (Carlos) and Bonnie Michaelis (Christopher); son, Ross Brown (Anna Grace); granddaughter, Marie Lucito; as well as numerous cousins, extended relatives, and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 631 State Street in New Orleans, on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at 1 PM. Visitation will begin at 11 AM. After the Mass, Howard’s family will privately lay him to rest in Greenwood Mausoleum.
