Herman Smith, Jr. went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 23, 2014. He is preceded in death by his father, Herman Smith, Sr., and his mother, Isabella Kelly. He leaves behind his wonderful wife, Rose, and their children: Kentrail (St. Cyr), Herman “Biggie” (Tonda), and Raquel (Lemand), nine grandchildren, and one great grandson.
Herman Jr. is also survived by his brothers, sisters, and a host of other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at 10:00AM at Providence Missionary Baptist Church, 2311 Seventh St., New Orleans, LA. 70115, with Dr. Lawrence St. Cyre, Sr. officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00AM. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park, 5454 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans.
