Herbert Sidney Kraus, Jr.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Catherine Kraus; son, Herbert Kraus III (Tricia); brother, Carl Kraus (Mary Alice); sisters, Beverly Roth (Kenny), and Doris Miller (Adrian); grandchildren, Hunter Kraus, and Hannah Kraus. Herbert was preceded in death by his sister, Jackie Plaideau (Ralph).

For over 20 years Herbert was the owner of Herbs Texaco located in Harahan, LA. He was an avid golfer, and a loyal member of the Colonial Country Club in Harahan, LA, up until the day it closed. Herbert also loved playing the slots at the casino, and enjoyed spending time and going to lunch with his grandchildren.

Due to current Covid-19 restrictions, the visitation and mass will be held privately.

There will be a private reception held at Colonial Bowling Lanes at 6601 Jefferson Highway in Harahan, LA 70123, at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 15, 2020 following interment at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.

Should friends desire, masses and contributions may be sent to St. Rita’s food pantry, at 7100 Jefferson Highway in Harahan, LA 70123.
