Henry Stumpf, III, “Hank”, passed away Monday, February 23, 2015, at the age of 76. He was a native of New Orleans. His education included Mater Dolorosa, De La Salle, LSU and Tulane. He is proceeded in death by his father, Henry Stumpf, Jr., mother, Margaret Negrotto Stumpf, and sister Sally Stumpf. He leaves behind his loving wife, Marlene Richard Stumpf, whom he shared 57 wonderful years of marriage, two sons, Henry Stumpf, IV (Joann), Eric Stumpf (Nicole), and one daughter, Julie Stumpf Guste (Michael). He loved deeply his grandchildren Henry Stumpf, V, Kaitlyn Rose Stumpf, Margaret Taylor Guste, Michael Jules Guste, Jr., Alexandra Camille Stumpf, Savanna Leigh Stumpf and Jacob Riley Stumpf. He also had one great-granddaughter, Cali Serenity Stumpf. He was the oldest brother to Kenneth Stumpf (Carrol), Stephen Stumpf (Donna), Quentin Stumpf (Jan), and Cynthia Stumpf Atwell (George). He leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, who loved their “Uncle Hank”. His greatest joy and accomplishment was his family.
Hank spent most of his life in finance. Most recently he served as the Comptroller for E.C. Durr Heavy Equipment. There he spent countless hours maintaining working relationships as well as bringing afternoons of laughter to the company.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family on Monday, March 2, 2015, for a funeral mass at Lake Lawn of Metairie, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., Metairie at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
