Henry “Hank” M. Dubois, Jr. passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2017, at the age of 88. Hank was born in New Orleans to the late Hattie Shamp and Henry Dubois, Sr. He was the beloved husband of the late Sue Chiasson Dubois. Father of G. David Dubois, Kay D. Perkins (Terry), and Diane D. Liljedahl (Gary). Grandfather of Kelli, Kyle (Megan), Nicholas (Juliet), Chad, and Allison. Great grandfather of Addison and Quinn. Brother of Evelyn Dubois and the late Ruth Long. Brother-in-law of Ruth Sax and Ella Chiasson. Hank was an employee of South Central Bell for over 39 years. After his retirement, he became an active volunteer with the AT&T Pioneers, donating his time where needed, whether it was making teddy bears for patients at Children’s Hospital, calling Bingo at several facilities for the elderly, or working school auctions, as well as being an active participant in the Pioneer organization along with many of his co-workers and longtime friends. As a parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church in Marrero LA, he was involved in the Ministry of Hospitality as an usher and in other activities. Relatives and friends of the family and members of the AT&T Pioneers are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd in New Orleans on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at 12:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 10 AM. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
