Helen B. Weaver

Helen Brewer Weaver passed peacefully to her eternal rest on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at the age of 89. She was born on September 12, 1925. She was survived by her dedicated husband of 60 years Steven Seymour (Buddy) Weaver. She was the mother of Stephanie Weaver, and Terry Jones (Kim) and Steven S. Weaver Jr. (deceased).

She was grandmother to Jeanne Ferran, Max Ferran (Megan) Nicholas Ferran (deceased) and Terrence Jones, She had nine great grand children.

Her parents Buford Brewer and Stella Stewart Brewer, her sisters Frances Brewer Grannan and Marion Brewer Ulrich, preceded her in death.

She worked alongside her husband Steven at their business Weaver’s a corner grocery and po-boy shop. She graduated from Sophie B. Wright High School for girls in New Orleans. She was a member of the Lakeview Botany Guild since its inception. She was an avid swimmer and dancer.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass which will begin at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd on Friday, February 20, 2015 at 12:00 Visitation will begin at 10:00 and Interment will follow in Metairie Cemetery. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Emeritus Memory Care in Mandeville, Louisiana, Lakeshore Hospice, and the Integra nurses who have lovingly cared for Helen over the last four and a half years.
