Harold Blackshear Patterson passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at age 89. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Emita Benedict Patterson. He was born November 22, 1925 in New Orleans to his late parents, Carolyn Blackshear Patterson and Harold John Patterson. He is survived by his son, Stuart B. Patterson and his daughter, Meryl Patterson Fink; daughter-in-law Joan Patterson; son-in-law Boyd Fink, III; grandsons Everett Patterson and Boyd Fink IV; granddaughters Clancy Fink and Meredith June Patterson; granddaughter-in-law Meredith Kay Malony Patterson. Mr. Patterson graduated from Isidore Newman in 1943. He received his B.S. and M.B.A. from Tulane University. He served in the U.S. Navy in 1945 and 1946. During that period he was stationed in Guam. He had a career in sales and sales management. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. (in Metairie Cemetery) on Monday, April 27, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until service time.
