Gloria LeBlanc Levy December 17, 1922 – October 2, 2016 NEW ORLEANS -- Gloria LeBlanc Levy, 93, died peacefully at home surrounded by family in Harahan, LA on Sunday, October 2, 2016. A devoted wife and mother, Gloria was the consummate and classic housewife, who enjoyed and excelled at cooking, gardening, decorating and entertaining. She is survived by daughter Michel Levy Boudreaux and husband Kevin Kohlmann Boudreaux, of Harahan, son Paul Kevin Levy and wife Heidi Whittier Levy of Indian Wells, CA and grandsons, U.S. Army Capt. Kristopher Paul Levy of Aberdeen, NC and Travis Alexander Levy of Houston, and their mother Anne England Levy Kanuch of Katy, TX. Gloria’s husband of 39 years, Michel “Mike” Levy, and son Michael Irvin Levy, preceded her in death. Gloria, who was born and raised in New Orleans and lived most of her life in the New Orleans area, was the eldest daughter of Annie Herty LeBlanc and Irvin Ernest LeBlanc, Sr. and she is survived by sisters June LeBlanc Delacroix of Houston and Shirley Mae LeBlanc of New Orleans, as well as many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were three other siblings, Irvin Ernest LeBlanc, Jr., Ernest Joseph LeBlanc and Audrey LeBlanc Barbazon Strasser. Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm and Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, October 7, 2016 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70124, and interment immediately following at Metairie Cemetery. Officiating will be Msgr. Frank Giroir. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Canon Hospice and Amedisys Home Health, as well as neighbor Melinda Doucet and caregiver Ofelia Lee , for their support and help through the past several years as Gloria’s health declined. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Louisiana Chapter of Alzheimer's Association (Address: 3445 N. Causeway Blvd., Suite 902, Metairie, LA 70002) in memory of Gloria L. Levy.
