Gilda Smith Werner

Gilda Smith Werner was born 6/29/30 and married to the late Alvin B. Werner for 68 years. She was pre-deceased by her mother, Katie Smith Smith, her father, Gilbert Willis Smith, Sr., her sister, Shirley Smith Peterman, her brother, Gilbert W. Smith, Jr. She died at home on August 15, 2022 at age 92 yrs. Mother of the three Werner Sisters, Gilda W. Reed, Ph.D. (Carl “Sam” Reed), Cynthia W. Pollet (Joseph “Ho-Z” Pollet) and Lana W. Konrad (late Gordon K. Konrad). Also survived by 16 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. (in Metairie Cemetery) on Friday, August 19th at 10:00am. Interment will follow in All Saints Mausoleum. Visitation on Friday from 9:00am until service time.
