Geraldine Morasco Aucoin

Geraldine “Gerry” Ann Morasco Aucoin passed away on Monday, March 9, 2015. “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” 2 Timothy 4:7. Gerry was born in New Orleans on March 20, 1931. Preceded in death by her parents Benjamin Morasco and Anna Gloni Morasco, sister Rosemary Birbiglia Lytton, daughter Susan Aucoin, and grandson, Randon Aucoin. Survived by her devoted and loving husband of sixty-one years, Normand P. Aucoin, daughters Bennie Aucoin Dorris (Clay), and Arrin Aucoin Gresse (Marvin), sons Brenton Aucoin (Sandra), Patrick Aucoin (Nathalie), Michael Aucoin and John Drew Aucoin (Nikki), ten grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren. Graduated from Ursuline Academy and attended L.S.U. A member of St. Jude Society. A very special thanks to her devoted caretakers, Lular Domino, Konesha Bruce and Sandra Bruce. Gerry was a proud advocate and supporter of Ursuline’s patron Saint, Our Lady of Prompt Succor (Hasten to Help Us). “The beautiful Sun is now shining”.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at 12:00 Noon. Interment will follow in Metairie Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 9:30AM until Noon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ursuline Academy, 2635 State St., New Orleans, LA. 70118.
