Gerald "Gerry" Senner

Gerald “Gerry” Senner, age 88, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and Buttons on November 29, 2020. A native of New Orleans, Louisiana, Gerry was born to the late Albert Senner (Victorene) and Hilda Senner LeBlanc (Jimmy).

Gerry was a successful real estate developer, hotelier and restaurateur. An avid Saints fan, Gerry was a lifetime Saints season ticket holder since the inaugural season. He was a Charter Member of the Krewe of Bacchus and also Pete Fountain’s “Half-Fast” Walking Club. He also proudly served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard.

Gerry is survived by his spouse of 65 extraordinary years, Mary Lee Senner; his daughters, Sharon Senner, Sandra Senner Landry (Bryan); sons, Rickey Senner and Scott Senner (Monica); grandchildren, Grayson Senner and Harrison Senner; his cousin, William, “Billy” Ray and his puppy, Buttons.

Gerry is preceded in death by his parents; grandmother, Louise Ray; his sister, Anna Mae Frommeyer (Weldon) and brother, Vincent Caruso (Doley).

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, services were private. A celebration of life will take place at a later date, per his wishes.
