George Joseph Wichser II

George Joseph Wichser II, born August 13, 1975, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, July 18, 2011, after a long serious illness. He was a graduate of St. Stanislaus High School, New Orleans Police Academy and Our Lady of Holy Cross College. He was recently attending Tulane University.

He is survived by his parents George J. Wichser (stepmother Mary Ellen Grace) and Ava Ryburn Wichser Romair (stepfather Charles Romair, his brother Patrick Benjamin Wichser, his grandmother Lucille Eileen Leach Wichser and his beloved Labrador companion, Micha.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Kelley Callan Wichser and his grandparents, Dr. Celeste J. Wichser and Alma C. and Leonard B. Ryburn. He is also survived by his aunts and uncles, Eileen Wagar (Frank),. Marcella Hackney, Jill Robinson and Thomas Wichser (Cindy) and many cousins.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Chapel of Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal St., on Friday, July 22, 2011 at 1:00 pm. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Patrick No. 3 Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International or the St. Stanislaus College Brother Lee Foundation in Bay St. Louis.
