George "Toomie" Joseph Roberson, Sr.

George "Toomie" Joseph Roberson Sr., age 76, of Mandeville, Louisiana was called home to glory on Tuesday, December 15, 2020. "Toomie" was born July 26, 1944 in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Lucille Roberson and Clarence Roberson. He was one of ten siblings.

“Toomie” was a graduate of St. Augustine High school. He was a devoted Catholic. "Toomie" was a gracious, full spirited man who never met a stranger. He was a thoughtful, caring, friendly man. George always encouraged each of us to respect others and to treat people right. His favorite quote was “Let Go and Let God!”

"Toomie" is preceded in death by his lovely parents Clarence Roberson and Lucille Roberson; four brothers Melvin Roberson; Clarence Roberson Jr.; Anthony Roberson; Bruce Michael Roberson and sister Juanita Roberson.

“Toomie" leaves to mourn and cherish his memories: two daughters Michelle Rodney (Roy), Kelly Furr (William); and his son George Roberson Jr. (Jeunay). His brother Larry Roberson; three sisters Shelia Marshall, Lesia Baptiste (Gregory) and Diana Terry (Ernest).

Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, the family will gather for a private memorial service that is to be conducted at ten o’clock on the morning on Monday, the 28th of December.
