

Mimi loved gardening, making puzzles, admiring pictures of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, watching animal planet, and sharing stories about good times with her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Robert “Bobby” A. Nunmaker; parents, Elmo P. Gogarty and Elsie Oberschmidt Gogarty; and brother, Richard Gogarty.
Mimi is survived by her daughter, Erin Nunmaker Drury; sons, Robert Nunmaker II (Shawn), Kevin Nunmaker (Jan), and Keith Nunmaker; grandchildren, Robert Nunmaker III, Rachel Nunmaker Saunders, Christie Drury Squatrito, Laynie Nunmaker Beckman, Taylor Nunmaker, Payton Nunmaker, and Jake Nunmaker; and great-grandchildren Robert Nunmaker IV, Parker Nunmaker, Quinn Nunmaker, Ben Nunmaker, Everett Saunders, Blaise Saunders, Cameran Saunders, Palmer Squatrito, Grayson Squatrito, and Paul “Bear” Beckman.
The family would like to give special thanks to Egan Hospice and all of the wonderful caregivers that provided 24/7 loving care to Mimi for the final year of her life. Debra, Pat, Sonya, Tonya, Jerri, Patricia, Tia, and, Anita, you’ll never be forgotten!
The services will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, LA 70124. The visitation begins at 11:00 a.m. until the memorial service at noon, officiated by Deacon Uriel Durr. Following the service, there will be a reception until 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home’s Event Center.
