Frederick Selby Harper

Frederick Selby Harper passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 5, 2012 at the age of 77. Frederick was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Edward Payne Harper and Edith Margaret Stack Harper and his son Frederick Selby Harper, Jr. He is survived by his children, Brian Michael Harper (Jan) of Baton Rouge, LA, Kelly Terell Harper (Lisa) of Portland, TN, Suzanne Harper Dildy (Gary) of Houston, TX and Heather Harper Cazayoux (Francis) of New Orleans. Also survived by grandchildren Kristin Leigh Harper, Nicholas Harper, Lyndsay Ann Harper, Chloe Rose Cazayoux, Francis Trudeau Cazayoux, III, and Sophie Marie Dildy; a great-grandson Donovan Riley Pence and a brother, Robert Payne Harper (June). Fred was owner/manager of La Boucherie Bar in the French Quarter and worked in construction and real estate management. A native of New Orleans, he was a graduate of Holy Cross High School and attended Tulane University. The family expresses their sincere thanks and appreciation to Evangeline Vavrick for her care and concern. A Memorial Gathering will be held at Cafe Amelie, 912 Royal St. in the French Quarter (between St. Philip and dumaine) on Monday, August 20, 2012 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
