Florence Claire DiMaggio

Florence is survived by her son, Craig G. DiMaggio (Clara), her two grandsons, Joshua and Justin DiMaggio, and her brother, Terrance McGittigan.

Florence was preceded in death by her most loving and devoted husband, Leo DiMaggio. Also preceding her in death are her two sisters, Alice Hebert and Marie Trevino and her brother, Gerald McGittigan.

Florence was a parishioner at St. Benilde Catholic Church in Metairie and was active in the Cher Amis group there for several years. She loved to read biographies of Hollywood stars and watch old movies.

Florence wished to acknowledge her paternal grandmother whose love and devotion stayed with her throughout her life. She also wished to acknowledge her cousin, Joan Troncoso and her two nieces, Judy Kalb and Renee McGann for their kindness to her when she needed it most.

Visitation will be Monday, October 25, 2021 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, LA from 12pm until Mass at 2pm. Interment will follow at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum. To view and sign the guestbook, please visit www.LakeLawnMetairie.com.
