Eric John Treadaway, passed away peacefully at home after a short courageous battle with Cholangiocarcinoma Cancer on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at the age of 64. Eric was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace and Lillian Treadaway; and brother Byron Treadaway.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years, Beth Gerrets Treadaway; loving daughter, Sarah Treadaway Corvers and son-in-law Kyle; brothers: Wallace Ray Treadaway, Jr. (Penny), Kevin Scott Treadaway (Pam); and sisters-in-law: Dawn Gerrets and Danna G. Necaise (Dennis). He also leaves behind nieces and nephews: Victoria Treadaway, Ashley Treadaway, Drew Necaise (Jennifer), Nathan Treadaway, Alexandra Riley (Parker), Christian Treadaway and great niece: Harper Necaise.
Eric grew up and worked in construction and property management for over 50 years and was a retired Civil Servant for 33 years.
The family would like to thank Dr. Thomas Melancon, Dr. Ken Kerut, Dr. Rian Tanenbaum and Dr. Elizabeth Ellent for their care. Eric was welcomed into First Baptist Church New Orleans through his recent Baptism during his illness. Special thanks to Pastor Chad Gilbert for guiding Eric through this journey.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, beginning at 12:00pm. Followed by a Funeral Service at 2:00pm. Interment will follow in All Saints Mausoleum in Metairie Cemetery.
