Emma Dufour Blanchard

Emma Dufour (Nanny) Blanchard, a retired executive secretary for the district manager of Ford Motor Company, passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at the age of 93. Beloved wife of 65 years of the late Felix J. (Pappy) Blanchard. She was born in Moreauville, Louisiana to the late Robert Numa and Emma Rabalais Dufour and was preceded in death by seven brothers: John Kinnie, Sidney, Carlos, O.J. (Pete), Levette, Robert, and Irving (Chocolate), and seven sisters: Oneida Couvillon, Palmire Dufour (infant), Frances Ducote, Hilda Gremillion, Bernice Dufour, Lelia Dufour and Lucille (Lucy) Couvillon. She was an active member and devoted volunteer at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church since 1971. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at 1:00PM. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 11:00AM.
