Elvira Guimont Dorsa, 95, of Metairie, La. Died on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at Ochsner Medical Center in Kenner, La. Born Saturday, November 18, 1920 in New Orleans, La to Albert Guimont and Rose Guimont. Survived by her loving son, John J. Dorsa Jr.(Susan), grandson , John L. Dorsa and nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her father, mother, husband, John J. Dorsa Sr., sisters; Lois G. Buddy(late Edward), Beatrice G. La Cerva (late Albert) and brother Earl Guimont(late Vera). She was a native of New Orleans, a long time resident of Metairie Manor and a recent resident of Chateau Living Center. Many thanks to the personal care givers as well as nurses and staff of Chateau Living Center.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the Chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 11:00AM. Visitation will begin at 9:00AM until service time. Interment will follow in Metairie Cemetery.
