Beloved wife of the late Charles Thomas Carden for 30 years.

Mother of Lucas Jay Cuccia (Kelly), John Charles Carden (Karla), and Janette Carden Kalifeh (Mitch).

Grandmother of Lucas Jason Cuccia (Beth), Lucas Joseph Cuccia (Kristyn), J.R. Carden, Juliet Carden Kalifeh, and Catherine Antoinette Kalifeh.

Great grandmother of Emily, Gabriella, and Cassidy Cuccia.

Sister of Joan Assel Baldo, and the late John Jansen Assel and Allan James Assel.

She was born on September 2, 1929 to John and Edna Assel.

She was a parishioner of St. Pius X Catholic Church in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Edna was a member of Lake Terrace Garden Club and Lake Terrace Women’s Club. She had a love of horse racing and a zest for life.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at 11 AM in the Chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd in New Orleans. Visitation will begin at 9 AM. Interment will follow at Metairie Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Masses are preferred.
