Earline was a resident of Harahan for 65 years; there she was a parishioner of St. Rita’s Catholic Church and a member of the American Legion Post 397 and of VFW Post 3267 Ladies Auxiliary. Earline had a passion for sewing, from sewing her daughter’s wedding dress to sewing dolls and sock monkeys for her grandchildren. She loved baking cakes for her family and friends, and she also enjoyed collecting porcelain dolls.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Alvin John Clark, Sr.; daughter, Brenda Clark McWhorter; son, Alvin John Clark, Jr.; parents, Earl and Jeannette Richard; sisters, Jackie Dragon and Betty Lou Wallace; and brother, Earl “Buddy” Richard.
Earline is survived by her daughters, Sandra Ogden (Darryl) and Cathy Boudreaux (Brian) and grandchildren, Marie Taylor, Sherrie Ehrman, Jeannette Silvia, Sabrina Pettis, Leon Fuller, Bridget Roberts, Darryl “D.W.” Ogden, Jr., Ashley Ogden, and Brian “B.J.” Boudreaux, Jr. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren whom she loved to spend time with.

Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation and funeral service on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, LA 70124. Visitation begins at 11:00 a.m. until the service at 1:00 p.m. The interment will follow at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
