It is with great sadness that the family of Earl Joseph Hepburn Sr. announce his passing. At the age of 94, he left us on Sunday, March 5, 2023, after several months battling an aggressive form of melanoma. Earl was predeceased by his sweet and loving wife, Maxine Frank Hepburn. He was a resident of Arabi, Louisiana, until relocating to Hammond following the loss of their home during Hurricane Katrina. Earl was a proud patriot and U.S. Navy Veteran. Through his years, Earl enjoyed time gathering at the Lake Catherine family camp. Following his retirement as an electrician with NOPSI, he and his wife traveled the world. He brought the family laughter with his strong opinions. It is his stories and reactions, that will connect us to him. It was the little things that he was so intrigued by. He was “routine” Earl. He is survived by his three children, Linda Bender (Jerry), Judy McKee, Earl “Joey” Hepburn Jr. (Susanne), nine grandchildren: Joey Bender, Nick Bender, Alex Bender, Brad McKee (Taylar), Blake McKee (Allie), Blair Licciardi (Jordan), Jeffrey Hepburn (Amanda), Gregory Hepburn (Lynn) and Bridget Hoffpauir (Kyle) and fifteen great grandchildren Brinkleigh McKee, Oaklyn McKee, Ellie McKee, Bray McKee, Blake McKee Jr, Vivienne Landry, Lilly Landry, Myles Licciardi, Margot Licciardi, McKenna Hepburn, Maddox Hepburn, Logan Hepburn, Greyson Hepburn, Camden Hoffpauir and Madeline Hoffpauir.
