Dorothy Hughes Hartenstein, age 90, of Metairie, Louisiana passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2024.
Dorothy is survived by sons Eric Hartenstein (Mary) and Richard Hartenstein, Jr.; grandson Matthew Hartenstein (Erica); great-grandsons Colin Hartenstein and Dylan Hartenstein; brother Daniel Hughes; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Richard Hartenstein, Sr.; parents Daniel Hughes and Theresa Froeba Hughes; and brother Joseph Hughes.
A native New Orleanian, more than anything Dorothy enjoyed time with her family and friends, Bunco, cards, and mimosas! Dorothy will truly be missed by all.
A visitation for Dorothy will be held Saturday, October 5, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, Louisiana 70124, followed by a funeral Mass at 12:00 PM, with interment thereafter at All Saints Mausoleum.
