Don John Boe, Sr., of New Orleans, Louisiana, passed away on October 22, 2021 at the age of 79. He was born May 27, 1942, in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Bertrand Peter Boe, Sr. and Mattie Gonsoulin Boe. Don was a loving husband for 60 years to his high school sweetheart Carol Marsh Boe. Treasured father of Cheri Boe Damiens (Andre), Kelli Boe Collins (Dennis), Don John Boe, Jr., Kristi Boe Vega (Jeff), Michael Paul Boe (Christel), the late Glori, Penni and Patti Boe. Proud grandfather of Amanda and Andre Damiens, III, Zachary Bourgeois, Jackson Vega, Bryan, Barry, Kayci, Katelynn, Logan, Landon and Lucas Boe. Step grandfather of Chantel Maumus, Brielle Keroack and Kimberly Collins. Great grandfather of Averi Davis and step great grandfather of Niko and Domenic Maumus, Savannah and Elijah Keroack and Baileigh Breaux.
Beloved brother of Bertrand P. Boe, Jr., Betty Boe Hart, Gay Boe LeCompte and the late Valerie Boe Paternostro and Ray A. Boe. Brother-in-law of Linda Boe and Arthur LeCompte and the late Gaetano Paternostro, Mary Boe, Frederick Hart. Uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. He graduated from Francis T. Nicholls High School in 1961. Don was retired from Heat & Frost Insulators Local #53 as a Mechanical Insulator. He was devoted to his family, loved taking care of them and spending as much time as possible with them. He lived life to the fullest, enjoyed music, dancing, socializing, fishing, helping others and playing the drums. He never met a stranger and will be missed immensely by all who knew him. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life on Friday, November 12, 2021, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Open Arms Ministry Church, 1340 8th Street, Slidell, Louisiana 70458.
