Dolores Gervais Schaefer

Dolores Gervais Schaefer, lifelong resident of New Orleans, died peacefully on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at the age of 94 surrounded by her children. She was the beloved wife for 71 years of the late Ralph L. Schaefer, Sr.; loving mother of Ralph L. Schaefer, Jr. (Patricia), Ronald E. Schaefer (Kim), and the late Rhonda Schaefer Galland (the late Nicky) and (infant) Donald Schaefer; grandmother of Ralph L. Schaefer III (Mandy) and Bradley Schaefer (Michelle); great grandmother of Juliet, Hallie, and Jackson Schaefer; daughter of the late Rudolph and Augusta Schaefer Gervais; and sister of the late Augusta Radosta, Raymond Gervais, and Lloyd Gervais. She was also preceded in death by her loyal companion and pet, Rufus. Dolores and her husband, Ralph, were members of Christ Lutheran Church in Chalmette for many years.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Monday, June 4, 2018 at 1:00PM. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 10:00AM. Interment will follow at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
