Dale Duplantier Abraham

She was preceded in death by her mother, Janice Moreci Duplantier.

She is survived by her daughter, Melissa Kernion and her husband Nathan; son, Daniel Abraham, Jr. and his wife Melissa; father, Hilton H. Duplantier and his wife Beverly; grandchildren, Morgan and Blair Kernion, Rex and Reid Abraham; brothers, Dean Duplantier and his wife Joanie, and David Duplantier and his wife Milena.

Dale was a life-long resident of the New Orleans area and graduated from St. Joseph Academy and the University of Southwestern Louisiana, where she was a member of Phi Mu Fraternity. Dale had a passion for teaching and inspiring children to read. She touched the lives of hundreds of children over her 37 years of service at St. Dominic School in New Orleans and Paul J. Solis in Gretna. She loved her grandchildren dearly and they adored their “Honey.”

Relatives, friends, and former students are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 775 Harrison Ave., New Orleans. Visitation will begin at 11:30 a.m and a graveside service will take place at Lake Lawn Park following the services.
