Graduate of Fortier High School and long time employee of Lexus of New Orleans and Summers Electric, Cynthia had a deep love for all animals and regularly cared for neighborhood strays. Her dog Peppy was her constant companion and brought her a great deal of joy through the end of her life. She was a life-long New Orleanian and a loyal Saints fan.
Cynthia was preceded in death by parents John Ernest Stahel, Jr., and Katherine Upton Stahel, and brother John “Bubba” Stahel (Priscilla). She is survived by nephews Gregory Stahel (Kim) and Michael Stahel; great-nephews Andy, Timmy, Johnny, and Tyler Stahel; and great-nieces Katie Carlin and Madison Stahel.
A Memorial Mass for Cynthia will be held Tuesday, June 20, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70124, followed by interment at Lake Lawn Park, 5454 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, Louisiana 70124.
