Courtney Perez passed away at the age of 32 on Monday, August 23, 2021 after giving an amazing gift of life to others. She was born in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina on August 4th, 1989 and was a graduate of St. James High School. Courtney was an amazing wife and mother who valued and loved her family above all else. She was devoted to providing her family with an environment of compassion and unconditional love, the foundation of which was her unwavering faith. She was always willing to help anyone and share the love of Jesus. Courtney was a Charismatic Christian who worshipped at Summit Church Louisiana. She married her husband, Brad Joseph Perez, at Inspire Church on June 3, 2017. She was a graduate of Teen Challenge and was the Praise and Worship Leader during her time. She was on the Praise and Worship Team of LC3 Church. Courtney took a missionary outreach trip to Romania and helped establish House of Hope, an orphanage for teen girls. She was an ardent supporter of evangelistic outreach, always wanting to bring hope and light to the world. She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Daniel Julius Scott of Boone, NC. Courtney leaves behind her husband, Brad Joseph Perez; her mother, Angela Garofalo Kindzia (Douglas) of Murrell’s Inlet, SC; her father, Randle Julius Scott of Sunset Beach, NC; her daughters, Briah Daisy Perez and Sofia Faith Perez; her son, Brad Joseph Perez Jr; her brothers, Nicholas Smith (Jenn Reilly) of Surfside, SC, Remington Scott of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Harrison Scott of Myrtle Beach, SC; her sisters, Lauren Jackson (Nick) of Conway, SC and Krista Sallaz (Adam) of Atlanta. GA; her grandparents, Gail Sommers (Val) of Myrtle Beach, SC, William Garofalo of Surfside Beach, SC, Mary Martin (Hoyt) of Myrtle Beach, SC, Ralph Perez of St. Bernard, LA, and Judy Lombas of St. Bernard, LA; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, family, and Family of God. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation at Celebration Church at 7500 W Judge Perez Dr in Arabi, LA on Thursday, August 26, 2021 from 2:30PM until a service at 4PM. Interment will follow in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens, Chalmette, La.
